The Dementia Educational Experience Roadshow (DEER) is offering skills training and education in-person and via telehealth for patients, families, communities, and health professionals.
As a dementia “roadshow,” this program does outreach with the goal of visiting all of Minnesota’s 87 counties. Each month, Joseph Gaugler, PhD, will visit a different county in Minnesota to provide educational outreach on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. These events will offer Minnesotans the opportunity to engage more fully in the scholarship and education in long-term care that is occurring at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Gaugler will also invite local community partners and stakeholders to participate and share resources at the events.
